ALL CHURCH FAMILY FUN NIGHTS

The Wednesday Family Fun Nights begin this week!  We’re excited and are sure you will have a great time, too!  Come one, come all:  adults, youth & children (nursery available):

July 18:  6:30-8:30pm
July 25:  6:30-8:30pm

WEDNESDAY GROWTH GROUPS

There will be No Wednesday Growth Groups in July (Adult, Youth or Children’s Groups).   Wednesday evening GROWTH GROUPS will resume on Wednesday August 1.

YOUTH WORKS (MEXICO)

Our youth will be on a work & witness mission to Mexico from Saturday, July 28 thru Friday, August 3.  The trip will involve some construction and other "hands on" projects that will directly benefit the local residence.  Please be in prayer for our youth and their adult sponsors as they prepare their hearts and minds for this great adventure!

HOMELESS OUTREACH

Help For The Homeless: we will be distributing donations to the homeless.  We will be leaving from the church parking lot on Saturday, July 28, time to be announced.  Questions?  Contact Nancy Marion. 

We need the following:

A. Donate a care package which contains one of each of the following items:

1. Water (1 gallon jug or individual size bottles)
2. Chapstick
3. Sunscreen
4. Razor
5. Shampoo (travel size)
6. Deodorant (travel size)
7. Toothbrush
8. Toothpaste (travel size)
9. Wash cloth

B. Extra water.  With our summer heat, we'll need all the water we can get.  If you can only contribute one or two items, choose the water!

C. Sponsor a care package with a financial donation of $10.00, which we will use to purchase the above items.

D. We are also collecting the following new or gently used items which can help ease the burden of a homeless man or woman:

* Men's t-shirts
* Backpacks
* Hats or bandanas
* Any other useful items

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

• Visitor Breads are needed for our first time guests.  Your small loaves can be left in the church freezer.  Contact Linda Persoon with any questions you have.
   

• We are currently looking for a volunteer Library Resource Coordinator.  Please let Karen Schaefer-Faust know if you are interested or for more details.

HELP GROUPS

A variety of self help groups meet weekly in the fellowship hall. 

Mondays - 6:30 pm

• Weight Watchers

Tuesdays - 7:00 pm

• A.A. (Alcoholic Anonymous)

• Al-Anon

Wednesdays & Fridays - 7:00 pm

• N.A. (Narcotics Anonymous)

Voices From Our Past

We recently received the following email and picture from Chris & Kristi Horner:

Dear Church Family:

   I just I would send you a little note telling you how we are doing in Texas.  Well we are all doing great.  Phoebe is now 3 months old and looking sweeter every day.  She loves to smile and coo a lot. 
   Chris have a new job working for Simu Flight as a flight instructor and is home every day.  That is a blessing for us. 
   I am doing good.  I have made some great friends and have found a great Church.  We are attending the Carrolton Church of the Nazarene.  Phoebe and I go to a play group twice a week.  It is a lot of fun.

   Thank you for all of your prayers and we miss you all so much.  May God bless you all.

In Closing

Our 2nd and 3rd graders will be returning from Middler Camp in Prescott this afternoon.  Be in prayer for traveling safety.

Welcome home missionaries Robert & Rachel Cinader!  They arrived safely back home this week after spending almost one month ministering in Uganda.  We look forward to hearing first hand the highlights of their trip.  Rachel is a talented writer and does an excellent job of keeping us informed of their everyday activities.  If you haven't already done so, take a few minutes to read up on the emails about their trip.  You'll be glad you did!
