The Church of the Nazarene
Gilbert Family Church is a part of
The Arizona District Church of the Nazarene.
As part of The Church
of the Nazarene, and with over 12,000 congregations
worldwide, The Church of the Nazarene's vision and
mission embraces the entire world. Together with
these other groups of believers, we help to support 738
missionaries originating from 31 world areas. The
Church of the Nazarene is third among denominations in
the number of short-term missionaries (2 weeks - 2
years); seventh in the number of missionaries; and third
with presence in various world areas. These
ministries involve more than 150 languages and dialects
and literature is provided in 95 of these languages.
The House of Refuge East
The House of Refuge
East (HRE) is an Arizona, faith-based,
not-for-profit organization, which provides transitional
housing and supportive services in Maricopa County to
homeless individuals, families and victims of domestic
violence. Its purpose is to empower participants
to experience healing and become self-sufficient.
HRE consists of 88 two-bedroom homes and the Williams
Gateway Chapel/annex all located in a community
setting.
Gilbert Family Church currently conducts services at
The Williams Gateway Chapel. Since 1996 it has
been our privilege and honor to work along side the
House of Refuge East in their business of taking the
broken human spirit and restoring it body, mind and
soul.
